	About Us: Rodney and I met in 2001 and were married in Lake Tahoe in 2003. We met through mutual friends and knew right away that we would be together forever. We are the very best of friends and have a strong belief in God and our commitment to each other. For us, having a baby will be a dream come true! We share our home with a black lab, two miniature dachshunds and two cats. They enjoy going with us to the lake and walking to the park near our home. They all love children and being in the center of family activities. About Bailey: Rodney’s beautiful daughter, Bailey, lives with us half the time. Bailey is an easy-going child with a big heart and a great sense of humor. She is very good to our niece Malynn and will play with her and help dress her and get her milk before dinner. Bailey loves to draw pictures or notes for us and we put them on the refrigerator. She loves to watch movies, ride her bike or scooter in the driveway. By far, her favorite thing is to go fishing with her Dad. She just turned 9 years old and has always asked us when she will have a sibling. She is very excited about helping us with the baby and looks forward to holding and kissing her new brother or sister. Krista about Rodney: Rodney is a reliability inspector for a large oil company. He is definitely a true outdoorsman and loves to be in the wilderness. He also enjoys spending time at home with the family and watching the Discovery channel, the Outdoor Living Channel and other movies. There is so much about Rodney that I cannot express in words. I have never laughed so much in my life as I laugh with Rodney. As a matter of fact, I have never in my life wanted to be around someone so much! Rodney is a wonderful father. He plays with Bailey and talks to her every day about how her day went. He enjoys playing Monopoly with her, helping her with math and taking her fishing or hiking. Bailey absolutely loves her Dad, which is apparent by how much she wants to be near him and by watching them interact. Rodney makes every family outing fun by his funny sense of humor and his great barbeque. Rodney is looking forward to being a new father and he cannot wait to take the baby in the stroller for a walk and to take him/her fishing when he or she gets older. Rodney about Krista: Krista works as an Executive Coordinator for a hospital foundation. Krista is looking forward to taking 12 weeks at home with our baby. After she returns to work, the baby will attend a top notch day care center offered by the hospital that is close to her office so she can see him or her on her lunch break. Krista enjoys staying busy and loves exercising, gardening and shopping. Krista is not only my best friend, but she is a phenomenal step-mom to my daughter Bailey and a wonderful aunt. Krista and Bailey spend a lot of quality time together baking cookies or rice crispy treats, doing crafts or planting flowers. They enjoy going for walks to the park and kicking the soccer ball. When Bailey’s cousins visit our home, she gets them in their pajamas, starts their favorite movie, and serves a big bowl of popcorn for them all to enjoy. I can see how much they love her by the hugs and words they express to her. Seeing how wonderful she is with Bailey and our three nieces and nephew, makes me realize how great a mother she will be when we have a child together. About our Family Life: We spend a lot of time together at home and in the outdoors. We enjoy going to the lake to fish or take hikes in our local mountains. Bailey has younger cousins that visit the house frequently and they giggle and play together. They also love to ride their bikes and scooters in the driveway. We also love to travel and enjoy going to the zoo, the beach or Disneyland. We have a large family on both sides and they are all excited about us adopting a baby to add to the family. Rodney’s family is in Bakersfield (1 hour from our house) where his Mom, Step-Dad and younger sister and 2 younger brothers live. Krista has two older sisters that live in Salinas, CA and one older sister in Raymond, CA and a younger brother that lives in Montana. We see Rodney’s family in Bakersfield at least two times a month and we get together with Krista’s family at least 4 times a year with lots of good food, conversation, love and hugs.
